ENGINEERED FOR VICTORY

Autometrics Motorsports began the way a lot of great racing stories do: with someone who couldn't stay away from the track. In 1988, founder Gordon Friedman spent a season working IMSA with Brun Motorsports' Prototype program, and came away with a plan.

At the time, Autometrics was an import repair shop, nothing more. But through the Porsche Club of America's Drivers' Education program, the shop found its way onto the track, and everything changed. Customers wanted performance. They wanted to go faster. By 2000, that shift was undeniable: track work had taken over the business. It was the moment we stopped being weekend racers and started being professionals.

The decades since have taken us through some of the toughest paddocks in sports car racing: World Challenge, Grand Am Rolex, ALMS, Grand Am Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge, and IMSA GT3 Cup Challenge. We've run the last air-cooled 911 ever to take the checkered flag at the Daytona 24, back in 2001. We podiumed three years running in the Rolex Series from 2002 through 2004, then backed it up with a race win and a 3rd-place Team Championship finish in 2005. In 2006, we fought our way to the wire in the CTSCC, finishing 2nd in the Championship with Marcus Motorsports after a season full of wins and podiums. By 2011, we'd added another 2nd-place finish, this time in the IMSA Challenge Platinum class.

We haven't slowed down. Autometrics is still deep in PCA Club Racing today, building and supporting cars in every class the series runs. Season after season, our drivers keep adding to the win column, standing on podiums, and rewriting track records.
